Grounds Maintenance Equipment, Inc. is proud to present the latest addition to our 2006 product line: The 624T LINEAR Engine-Powered Wood Chipper! We've incorporated all the features that professional Tree Maintenance people want: A split housing for no-tools access to the flywheel and knives; no-tools belt adjustment and changes; a hydraulically powered feed roll for instant forward-stop-reverse control, and a 25 horsepower Kohler engine for the power to chip those big limbs without lots of trimming, at 82 feet per minute. It comes complete with a battery. Add fuel - The 66 gallon fuel tank lets you chip all day without re-fueling - and go to work.
With it's Tor-Flex angle, it can be towed at any legal speed. The 20-inch diameter by 10-inch wide tires furnish lots of floatation in those wet muddy locations. The fenders are wide enough to be seen in the rear-view mirror, but just narrow enough to get into those tight-access places. For compact storage, the tongue removes with one pin. The fenders bolt on, for easy replacement in case of accidental damage, and are strong and solid enough to stand on.
For ease of maintenance, the top half of the chipper housing opens, and the belt guard comes off - all without tools. We furnish a gap gage - with it's own storage location - for accurate setting of that critical clearance between the flywheel and bed knives. The lock pin that secures the flywheel during knife maintenance is on a lanyard, so it doesn't get lost.
The hydraulic system is designed to minimize the hydraulic hose lengths. The pump and directional control valve are mounted directly on the .5-gallon hydraulic tank. The fluid filter canister overhangs the trailer frame, so filter changes don't dump hydraulic fluid on the chipper. And there's a drain plug in the bottom of the tank to simplify changes of dirty fluid.
The standard hitch is an agricultural blade style. Available options include a 2" ball coupler, and DOT-compliant rear lights. The 624T is the chipper of the future; it will keep you chipping for years and years.
All surfaces are powder-coated for maximum protection from rust and corrosion. As with all GME products, these chippers all meet the goals of high performance, ease of operation and maintenance durability, reliability, and operator convenience that professionals demand.
