Grounds Maintenance Equipment, Inc. is proud to announce our line of Made in America chippers for 2006. The PTO-Powered line-up includes disk-style PTO-powered chippers in 4, 5, 6 and 9 inch capacities. All feed at 80+ feet per minute, for maximum productivity. All share the same design philosophy, and feature no-tools access to the drive system and the flywheel and it's knives. Tension adjustment of the main drive belts, and hydraulic drive belts on the 624 and 931, is done with one 3/4" or 9/16" wrench. |

The Models 418 and 524 are gravity-feed chippers, and are the most economical of the four. They're intended for the user who does periodic area clean-up, but who may not require a high-throughput production chipper. The Models 624 and 931 are designed for those who require high throughput chippers for production limb and trunk reduction. They feature fully hydraulically powered feed rolls, with FORWARD-STOP-REVERSE controllability. The hydraulic tanks are oversized to provide for fluid cooling and de-aeration. |

The front A-Frames that make up the connection point for the upper three-point link fold forward with the removal of one pin, for complete access to the drive belts; bearings and sheaves. And, for SAFETY, the chipper cannot be powered while the A-Frame is open. Additionally, the 931 comes standard with four full-length flywheel knives. This model can produce a chip as small as 1/8", at a full 80+ fpm feed rate. Simply remove any pair of knives when larger chips are desired. |
