H & S BF16H Bi-Fold Wheel Rake

H & S Bi-Fold Rakes make fast work of raking hay. H & S manufactures the most complete line of rakes in the industry. Whether you have a small operation, a large operation with irrigated fields, or you're a custom operator, H &S has the rake to fit your needs.

H & S 16 Wheel Hydraulic Open Models are standard with a ratchet type adjustable jack to set windrow width settings.

All H & S Bi-Folds utilize a single acting cylinder to lift raking wheels from raking to transport position. Cylinders can be converted to double acting. The rake wheels are independently mounted and spring loaded to follow the contours of the ground. All Bi-Fold rake arms are designed with over center lift stops.

An optional center kicker wheel is available for all models of H & S Bi-Fold Rakes.

A rake beam transport position ramp and roller is utilized on all hydraulic models. As the roller is elevated up the ramp, the rake arms and gauge wheels lift off the ground into transport position.

This photo shows the rake wheel lift tube pinned in the transport lock position - wheels elevated. When raking, this pin is moved towards the end of the lift tube and can be positioned to vary the amount of down pressure of the rake wheels on the ground.

Pictured is the 16 wheel hydraulic bi-fold. The 16 Wheel bi-fold utilizes the same working features as the 12 wheel hydraulic but uses heavier components from wheels to frame.

The hydraulic open bi-folds rear crossmembers are round. This feature allows the rake arms to float, allowing the operator to rake flat or rolling ground as well as waterways, ditches and terraces. Ratchet jacks provide for easy adjustment of finished windrow widths.

All bi-folds can be operated with one side out while the other is fixed in transport position.

The outboard gauge wheels on the 16 wheel bi-fold are 15".

Offset fixed tandem transport wheels on the 16 wheel bi-fold assures a smooth level ride even over irrigation tracks.
