Aggressively cuts & mulches up to 6 inch diameter material with as little as 48 hydraulic horsepower. Intermittently cuts up to 10 inch or larger diameter material.

Like the original Carbide Cutter and the successful Timber AX, the New Generation 2 Carbide Cutter continues the tradition of using a shear bar in a contained cutting chamber to help process material. This efficient shearing action produces the finest mulch with the lowest horsepower requirement of any carbide mulching head.

The two-stage cutting action begins with the rotor picking up material and forcing it to pass between the moving carbide teeth and the stationary counter teeth. The staggered pattern and angles of the counter teeth promote an aggressive feeding action, while still minimizing the jamming that plagues competitive cutters. The partially reduced material is then trapped in the cutting chamber behind the front bumper. Here, the material is processed to a fine mulch as it passes between the carbide teeth and the recutter bar before being discharged toward the ground.

For special applications requiring extra fine mulching, an optional 2nd shear bar can be bolted to the row of counter teeth. This dual chipping action will process the material to the finest particle size of any carbide mulching head in the industry.

The New Kwik Ax combines the fuel-efficient fixed, sharpened blades of the Timber Ax with the unique body design and downward rotation of the popular G2 Carbide Cutter.

This patented design offers lower power requirements, lower fuel consumption, less heat generated and less time spent on the job site.

Mow Grass & Weeds

The original, Timber Ax rotates upward in front, picking up, literally, everything in its path. The material is processed between the sharpened blades and the adjustable shear bar, leaving a consistent particle size and a beautifully groomed job site.

Eliminate Brush

The new Kwik Ax rotates down in front like the successful G2 Carbide Cutter, resulting in a very aggressive feed rate for all high production applications. Contractors involved with R.O.W. work need to keep moving forward as fast as possible, reducing vegetation to the ground level, without grooming the site.

Mulch Branches or Prunings

The Kwik Ax, when needed, can also produce a very fine finished product by backdragging to reprocess the material on the ground.
