Hay rakes from M&W include 18 models in five different series to fit most any hay raking application. Sizes vary from a three-point "window turner" with an approximate working width of 3' 10" up to a big pull-type, high-capacity dual fold rake with a working width of over 33' wide. All M&W hay rakes are ground driven for simple operation and reduced maintenance cost compared to hydraulic or PTO driven rakes. Each "independently-floating" 55" diameter hay wheel rake consists of 40 tines helping ensure a clean raking job. The gentle action of the rakes creates a neat, fluffy windrow without twisting or "roping" the hay. The result is more even drying and easier baling. Since the rakes are ground driven and follow the ground contours, recommended operating speeds of up to 14 MPH are possible, if field conditions permit.
