Worksaver Terra Max Cotton Special The advanced Terra-Max deep tillage design fractures traffic-pan to allow cotton plant roots to extend into the soil for more moisture and nutrients during hot and dry seasons. In wet weather or during irrigation, surface water can pass easily through the shattered areas, reducing the possibility of crop drowning or nitrogen lock-up.

The patented, narrow, helical shank design conditions the soil up to a depth of 20 inches under the cotton row. The forged spring steel shanks have replaceable angled points that help lift soil 3 to 5 inches. The Terra-Max narrow shank and angled design point reduce the chance for clod and slab build-up.

The " Cotton Special" is available in shear-bolt or toggle-trip models with either 15" adjustable furrowing shovels or rolling disc bedders that use floating parallel linkage. Each of the units forms excellent cotton beds in the fall or reshapes the beds in the spring before planting.
Ideal for cotton fields or wherever raised beds are used. Advanced, deep tillage design fractures hardpan enabling cotton plat roots to extend into the soil. Used in the fall to form the ideal cotton bed, or in spring, to reshape beds before planting. Shear Bolt and Toggle Trip models...in 15' and 20' operating widths. Sugarcane Special

Sugarcane produces the highest amount of residue of any crop. Since it is a perennial crop, special care must be taken not to disturb its root structure while performing a tillage operation. Sugarcane residue may be buried so the nutrients can be released for the next crop.

The Terra-Max Sugarcane Special was designed to handle the existing crop carefully yet be very agressive with the residue. The lifting action of the special Terra-Max shanks loosens and aerates the soil, allowing moisture and nutrients to pass between the soil layers. The residue helps hold moisture in the soil, reduce erosion, and provide cover for the sugarcane root system.

Since there is ample residue to handle, the Sugarcane Special must agressively process the cane stalks. The forward coulter gangs slice the cane stalks to reduce the chance of trash build up. The forward disc gangs help loosen the soil surface and add more cutting action on the stalks. The Terra-Max shanks then perform their operation. The rear disc gangs are used to help cover the residue and prepare it for the rollers. As the rollers pass over the remaining residue, they complete the residue coverage by mixing the residue into the top layer of the soil.
